Endoscopy is a procedure where a thin flexible tube with a video camera attached to its end is inserted in through your mouth to visualize your oesophagus and stomach or through your anus to visualize your bowels. This will help to identify and, on some occasions, treat diseases that may occur in them.

The Endoscopy Service of University Hospital KDU has one of the largest purpose-built endoscopy units in the country with four dedicated endoscopy rooms, an eight-bed recovery unit and a ERCP Procedure Suite.

Our Service is equipped with the latest high-definition endoscopes to perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures including Upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP and flexible cystoscopy.
