
About Us
Haematology department of UHKDU provides clinical and laboratory services for the patients receiving inward and outpatient care for wide range of haematological disorders.
Haematology laboratory provides services 24 hour services throughout the year through the main laboratory and facilitates referral for reference centers for special haematological tests.
Clinical services are provided for patients referred form wards and outpatient department for clinical management and bone marrow examinations. There is a dedicated weekly clinic for patients with haematological disorders every Thursday morning.

Research Activities
- The Department of Haematology is actively involved in both undergraduate and post graduate research in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences as well as the Faculty of Graduate studies of the KDU.
Teaching
- We are a center for training of undergraduates of The Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
- We facilitate internship for allied Health science students.
