The Department of Histopathology at UH KDU offers comprehensive, high quality and timely diagnostic services in histopathology and cytology for both inpatients and outpatients.

We provide a full spectrum of surgical pathology services, including gastrointestinal, gynaecological and breast pathology, as well as urological, dermatological and neuropathology alongside FNAC, exfoliative cytology, and autopsies.

Beyond diagnostics, we are dedicated to advancing knowledge through research and academic activities, thereby ensuring our staff remains at the forefront of the field.

The Department of Histopathology also plays a key role as a center committed for training future medical and paramedical professionals through its collaborations with the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and the Faculty of Graduate Studies of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
